INFORMATION ABOUT THE ISLAND

Visitors to the villa will find that their holiday in Menorca will be very pleasant, as the island remains tranquil and unspoilt and there is a very relaxing atmosphere with many scenic attractions. The island is only 30 miles long and 12 miles across at its widest point.

There are 120 beaches on the island, most of them empty, and lots of safe coves for children. The island is appealing to all kinds of people including walkers, nature lovers and sun seekers. There are sports facilities available such as wind surfing, sailing, sub aqua sports, golf, tennis and horse riding.

Mahon, the capital, is a short drive of 15 minutes away or there is a bus service for non-drivers. There you will find an array of cafes, bars and the fabulous Regency Port. It is also rich in history with it’s many churches, museums and monuments.

THE VILLA

This villa is located within a ten minute walk of the sandy bay and resort of Calan Porter, where you will find a selection of restaurants, shops and bars. The villa is air conditioned and of single-storey design. The interior is bright and simply designed with traditional white washed walls and tiled floors throughout, they are complimented by a beamed ceiling in beautiful Spanish wood. Well appointed throughout, this three bedroom villa sleeps 6.

The bedrooms comprise of a master double room with en suite, two twin rooms and family bathroom. Outside, the sun terrace surrounds the private pool and comes complete with ample patio furniture, sun loungers and a barbecue for those alfresco meals.

There is a large lounge and dining area, with comfortable seating and a dining suite. It has a TV with English satellite channels and DVD.

The adjacent kitchen is fully fitted with a range of wall and base units with granite worktops. It is well equipped with electric oven and halogen hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and washing machine.

The villa is situated off the road in a quiet location yet within easy walking distance of all the resorts attractions.

Electricity, gas, bed linen and towels are provided but we ask that you bring your own beach towels. The villa is cleaned at the start of your holiday for your arrival.

The villa is approximately 10 minutes by car from Mahon Airport. Flights are direct from Gatwick, Luton, Stanstead, Newcastle, Birmingham and all major airports.

The town of Calan Porter is served with its own bus to Mahon , car and bike hire is available for those who want to tour the island. Otherwise tours and excursions are sold at the local supermarket

Calan Porter beach is 10 min away (800m) and is one of the prettiest and safest on the island. A ‘fun’ train operates during peak times from the beach and around the resort, for those not wishing to walk.
