Situated at the foot of the Alps, Como is the third largest Italian lake and certainly one of the most picturesque. Como has the advantage of beautiful summer weather and mild winters It is a well known fact that the Romans were surprised and enchanted to see palm trees growing at the foot of the snow covered Alps!!

The location is ideal for relaxing by the swimming pool or on one of the lake's many beaches in the summer, and is close to the ski slopes for lovers of winter sports. Madesimo can be reached within one hour by car or by arranged coach trip from Como town. An ideal place for history lovers with plenty to keep you occupied- from the famous Villa Carlotta to the ruins of the S. Eufernia Basilica on Como's only island Isola Comacina

The lake is serviced by regular ferries, both foot and vehicle, which gives you easy access to any part of the lake. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from the nearest ferry stop.
